the service is attentive, the food ingredients and texture are excellent. this was my first time eating at a Korean restaurant but I know this quality is excellent.
cozy & authentic korean food! the service here was quick & kind. water was never empty & they helped us with trying a new dish! we ordered their: beef tartare, grilled eel, and spicy stir fried pork belly w/ kimchi. additionally, they serve quite a bit of banchan too which was all really good. the beef tartare came out first. there was a raw egg yolk on top w/ sliced apple sticks & microgreens. the apple was a nice addition to the beef tartare since it provided a clean crunch. the grilled eel came out piping hot and it was delicious!! the sauce complimented the eel very well- not too overpowering nor too sweet. it was a nice portion too. lastly, the spicy stir fried pork belly & kimchi is a must have! pork belly on its own is yummy & tender but combined with their kimchi, it elevates the whole dish. the kimchi flavor was strong & did not lack any punch. the tofu absorbed the sauce very well too! overall, it was a great meal & would come back to try more of their menu :) p.s. their barley tea is refreshing !
Amazing Korean food, I got the Short Rib with Cold noodles and it was melt in your mouth goodness. Super authentic and the staff were extremely kind and courteous I'd recommend this to anyone who likes Korean food. Even if you don't give it a try I think you will be super happy with it.
I think this is the best place for Korean food in our neighborhood. All the dishes are delicious, and it's a restaurant I'd recommend to anyone!
Daom is serving up authentic Korean food like hot stone pot dishes, bbq, soups, and so much more! The pork belly was juicy with a slight crisp and the pork jowl was buttery. Their banchan was also really good and changes daily. Some standouts were the spicy fish cake and marinated egg. What we ordered --the Pork Belly Combo (good for 2-3 ppl) that came with: pork belly, pork jowl, kimchi stew, and a bottle of soju
Very authentic Korean restaurant!! We ordered the spicy braised short ribs, seafood onion pancake and beef soup. The spicy braised short ribs is so flavorful ( must try ), it comes with radish and rice cake. The beef soup reminds you in Korea, no MSG! And the seafood onion pancake is huge, good to share. Their banchan also changes everyday! The service is friendly and many old diners and families in the restaurant- that's how you know it's a legit place! There's dinner rush so come early Overall if you are looking for authentic Korean food this is the place!
Food was great and service was nice. Was on lunch break for work so appreciated that the food came fast.
The food was so good; the service was excellent. My best friend and I enjoyed everything. I highly recommend this authentic Korean restaurant.
Grilled mackerel-- sooo good. I opted for the lunch special $16.99 which came with half (1 filet) of a mackerel, a miso-based soup, rice, and banchan. It was grilled to perfection, lots of crispy edges, but super soft and oily on the inside. It hit the spot. Seafood pancake (hameul pajeon) -- Daom's version just might be my favorite to date. It is pricier $27.99 than most I've had, but given that it contains seafood and was pretty generously portioned, the price point was understandable. I loved that they shredded the imitation crab meat and used it as a sort of crust on the exterior of the pancake. It added a lot of crispy edges. It was so flavorful that I didn't even need the seasoned soy sauce it came with. I also throughly enjoyed the banchan. We had acorn jelly, napa kimchi, seaweed salad and fish cake! They were thoughtful about wrapping the banchan in plastic wrap since there wouldn't be any leakage. I look forward to dining in person next time! So glad I tried a new Korean place in the area.
Came here 08/27/2023. This is authentic Korean family-style food. It's not necessarily a pocha or alcohol anju place, but it can be. This restaurant is similar in vibe and food style to Dine Korean Restaurant on Malvern if anyone is familiar. Food: Authentic Korean food with a variety of healthy banchan. Great value for the money. We got the bossam + fresh oyster and braised fish (dunno the English translation - silver cod?). These two dishes easily filled a family of 4 with some leftovers. Service: Service is relatively slow and they have a hard time turning over tables since there are only 2-3 waitresses and one busser. Lots of golf groups that come in during evening and night which causes a holdup. Ambiance: Loud and bustling, family style. Come with friends.
